Six-Year Dentistry Programme at University of "Grigore T. Popa"

The Dentistry programme spans six years, encompassing a total of 12 semesters, and is conducted entirely in English. The curriculum consists of 62% dentistry courses and 38% medical, surgical, and fundamental theory. During years 1-5, students participate in work placements at university-affiliated hospitals, clinics, or dentistry offices,accumulating at least 800 hours of practical experience. In the final year, students engage in various integrated courses focused on advanced oral treatment training and hands-on practice, including modules addressing special and rare cases, and must complete a dissertation on a topic approved by their instructor. The final year culminates in a written state exam assessing proficiency in dental medicine, practice, and procedures, alongside a practical examination covering four subjects: clinical cases, orthodontics, dental prosthetics, and radiology. Upon successful completion of the programme, students are conferred a Master’s degree and recognised as Dentists.
