The 6-year Dentistry programme at Tbilisi State Medical University is structured to provide a comprehensive education in dental medicine. In the first year, students study General Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Anatomy, Histology, and Medical Terminology in modern lecture halls and basic science laboratories, including anatomy dissection rooms. The second year covers Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, and Dental Materials, with access to advanced science labs, microbiology labs, pathology labs, and preclinical simulation labs. In the third year, subjects include General Pathology, Oral Anatomy, Oral Histology, Oral Physiology, and an Introduction to Clinical Dentistry, supported by dental simulation labs, clinical skills labs, and oral pathology labs. The fourth year focuses on Dental Pharmacology, Oral Surgery, Periodontology, Prosthodontics, and Paediatric Dentistry, utilising dental clinics, surgical suites, prosthodontics labs, and paediatric dentistry clinics.
